SCHOOL/FOOTBALL/ACTIVITY

Royce attended Taylor Road school on the St Matthews estate in Leicester from the age of 4, along with Devon. He made lots of friends there many who are still in touch, especially Devon who has never left his side throughout.

Royce was so proud to be an uncle and Paige loved him to bits

He was very active from an early age. I taught him to swim when he was 4 years old and soon he was coming home from school with his swimming certificates. He was so proud when he got his 1000 metres certificate, he was the only one at the school to get it at the time.

Royce loved all types of activity, canoeing, rock climbing, pot holing ,running, basket ball, if there was something going on you could bet he'd be there. He practically lived down the St Matthews sports centre.

He loved football from the start and played for various Sunday teams such as Beaumont Town, Aylestone Park and the Leicester School Boys Team. He was signed up by the Leicester City School of Excellence for 2 years when he was 11/12 years old. I have memories of getting up on a Sunday morning sometimes with a hangover and taking him to play football. I would stand there freezing with a blinding headache but I made sure he never missed a match.

HE WAS BALL BOY AT NUMEROUS LEICESTER CITY FOOTBALL MATCHES:

He played football every day, he loved it. When he wasn't playing he would be at the sports centre joining in some activity .

I KNOW THIS WAS ONE OF THE HAPPIEST TIMES IN HIS LIFE

Royce's favorite artist was Micheal Jackson. We went to Wembley to see his show and had the best seats in the house. Royce loved it and couldn't believe he was real. Sorry I don't have any photo's
